I studied drawing & painting at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art under Alberto Morroco, Jack Knox and Gordon Cameron.
I taught art for 10 years then started a design and screen-printing business in Stirling whilst continuing to paint in my free time, exhibiting and selling my work throughout Scotland.
I am an abstract painter, working with acrylic and three dimensional texture. My paintings are inspired by the light and textures of the Scottish landscape and seascape and my love of the west coast and Islands.
I experiment with glazes to create a subtle depth to the myriad colours I use, whilst also enjoying the unexpected fusion of effects created by building colour on colour.
I have exhibited widely in Scotland, and have work in private collections in Canada, USA, Holland, France and Spain.
